In this section:Institutional Research (IR), part of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, is the College's source for official institutional data. IR prepares required state and federal reports, including IPEDS and Florida College System reports; maintains official data definitions and benchmarks; builds dashboards and self-service reports; and responds to data requests from faculty, staff, and leadership.

Economic Impact
The 2025 Lightcast report, The Economic Value of Tallahassee State College, examines TSC’s economic contribution to its service area of Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties. Reflecting fiscal year 2023–24, the study measures the impact of college operations, student spending, and the increased productivity of former students. It also evaluates the return on investment generated for students, taxpayers, and society.
During FY 2023–24, TSC generated an estimated $296.5 million in added income for the regional economy and supported 4,214 jobs. This impact represented approximately 1.2% of the service area’s gross regional product, or about one out of every 64 jobs in the region.

The 2025 Florida Economic Security Report Summary provides an overview of employment and earnings outcomes for graduates of Florida’s public postsecondary institutions. It examines differences by credential level and field of study and includes information about employment, first-year earnings, continuing education, public assistance, and student debt.

2022 Florida Economic Security Report
The 2022 Florida Economic Security Report, released in May 2023, provides a more detailed analysis of employment and economic outcomes for graduates of Florida’s public postsecondary institutions. It examines first- and fifth-year earnings, employment, continuing education, public assistance, student debt, and projected labor-market demand.
The report covers graduate cohorts from academic years 2015–16 through 2019–20.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System
The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, or IPEDS, is the federal data-collection system for colleges and universities that participate in federal student financial-aid programs. Each year, Tallahassee State College submits institution-level information about enrollment, student completion, graduation rates, employees, finances, tuition, financial aid, and other institutional characteristics.
